Ed grew up in Southwest Florida and was able to witness the unprecedented growth that Florida has experienced since. After graduating from the University of Florida's M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management, Ed returned to Naples to work as a commercial project manager/estimator. During this time Ed worked on construction projects from luxury high rise condominium buildings to local hospitals. It was not long before the call to build custom homes facilitated a move to central Florida. For over 25 years, Ed has enjoyed meeting countless clients throughout Florida, and using a hands-on approach with expert attention to detail to make their ideas and dream homes a reality.

After graduating from the State University of New York with a finance degree, John made the easy choice to move to sunny central Florida to start his career. Since he always had a keen interest in how things were put together, it was only natural that he would decide to start a framing company. After years of framing some of central Florida's most complex and beautiful homes, John decided it was time to bring his expertise and passion to the multi-faceted world of custom home building. John spent many years as a custom home project manager before officially joining forces with Ed Valley to start Fortis Enterprises right here in central Florida.
